This Book Is Dangerous

I spent about an hour, trying to read this book without making mistakes. 

Impossible.

To those who can read Fox In Socks by Dr. Seuss, without making mistakes, I applaud you. I had my little cousin recording me reading, and every time I made a mistake, she would laugh. After about ten tries, I asked her if she thought she could do it better. She said yes. I then videotaped her reading the book, laughing the whole time. If you notice, you might hear purring in the background, and see a tail moving across the camera. My cat, Sarge, was responsible for both of these things, and later, his sister, Eris, jumps in as well. Despite my urging, my cousin was unable to finish reading, but she did well. Then goes my video, where I almost started laughing because I messed up.

I Can

You can't. Those two words are the ones I've heard most often in my life. Someone was always telling me I couldn't. And for a while, I let myself believe them.  I used to dream of becoming an astronaut when I got older. Someone told me I couldn't.   I wanted to be the smartest student in my third grade class. Someone told me I couldn't. I wanted to be the best softball player that ever lived. I think you know what they said. Sometimes there were legitimate reasons as to why I couldn't do certain things. My fear of heights made my dreams of becoming an astronaut unachievable. There are always people smarter than me. I had asthma and was always sick growing up. How I Read

When I was five, I first learned to read. I hated it. My grandma would sit me down at the table, and forced me to read. I learned the alphabet and how to read before I even attended school, and I did not enjoy it. I did not learn to enjoy reading until I switched schools in fourth grade. The school I attended was Benjamin Foxen Elementary School, in Sisquoc Ca, and it was literally in the country. I had a teacher named Mrs. Adams, and she taught me to love reading. She split my class into four groups, and assigned each group a book. My group was assigned Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Patterson.
